Scrap It to Win It!

Every summer, Scraps &┬áPieces hosts a six-week scrapping contest called Scrap It to Win It. This year’s contest kicks off next Friday, August 12.

What I love about it is that everyone moves on to the next round, unless they fail to post their layout by the deadline each week. We’ve also relaxed the rules a bit to encourage more creativity and added a bonus week for the weekly winners. For each week you participate, you can collect another portion of the super duper mega-kit created especially for this contest. (I’ve seen it; you’ll love it.)

Stars & Stripes Forever

I am so excited to finally reveal these products to you–they’ve been in the works for a long time! I ran across this palette last year and loved it. I thought it would be perfect for a patriotic-themed kit. It seemed like every time I sat down to work on it though something would crop up and it never got done. I finally hit the inspiration jackpot a few weeks ago and finished off the kit, along with a coordinating word art pack, quick page set, and kraft & cardstock pack. The products are perfect for pictures you’ve taken of celebrating patriotic holidays, summer barbecues, time at the lake and so much more.

First a look at what some creative team members did with the products.

Lauren also used my Chunky Wood alpha and a template by Meagan’s Creations.

Ready for a full reveal? Here you go!

The kit includes 20 papers (15 patterned, five solid), 47 unique elements, and one customizable alpha (base layer + outline layer).

I also created a coordinating paper pack. It includes a total of ten papers: five solid cardstock and five kraft papers with grungy painted edges.

The word art pack includes 44 pieces of word art (41 unique, three in multiple colors) with a sticker-like feel. Shown to scale against a 12×12 background.

I also created a set of quick pages. This set of six 12×12 quick pages come in .png format and include room for between two and six photos. Just add your photos and any journaling or additional embellishment you want and go. So easy!

If you want to save money (and, let’s face it, who doesn’t?), you can purchase the products in a bundle which will save you 30% over the cost of purchasing them invididually.

Want just one of the products? They’re 30% off through Sunday, June 9.

And finally, one lucky person won all four products. Using, entry #8, Mary, was the big winner. Congrats! Mary, please send me an email at shelbellescraps {at} gmail {dot} com and I’ll send you a coupon to get the collection free!

Have a great weekend and happy scrapping!
